PB & chocolate oatmeal energy bites

If you are skeptical by the looks of these energy bites, don’t knock it until you try it as we all know don’t judge a book by its cover. These pb chocolate oat bites are absolutely delicious and the easiest snack if you are on the go. These treats are relatively healthy and are perfect for family road trips or long plane rides. Ingredients:

Dry → 

*1 cup rolled oats 

*1 tbsp chia seeds 

*1/4 tsp cinnamon (I just eyeballed this) 

*1/8 tsp salt (again I just eyeballed the amount)

*1/4 cup chocolate chips 

*1 scoop collagen powder/ protein powder (optional)  

Wet → 

*1/2 cup peanut butter 

*1/4 cup maple syrup or honey

*1 tsp vanilla extract 

Method:

  1. Take a large bowl and add in the wet ingredients, this includes peanut butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix together until combined. 

  2. Place rolled oats, chia seeds, cinnamon, salt, chocolate chips and collagen powder into the wet mixture and mix until combined. 

  3. Place in the fridge for 10 minutes to set. 

  4. Take out of the fridge and roll into balls or any bite size shaped pieces. 

  5. Store in the fridge or freezer for up to one week. 

  6. Enjoy!
